The Annual Fun Fourth Festival is recognized as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism society and an Outstanding Event by Celebration NC Foundation. The Fun Fourth Festival is produced by Grassroots Productions Limited. This local non-profit corporation focuses on charitable and educational activities which foster interest in local history and events in Guilford County. An advisory board of local business and civic leaders oversees the planning of each event for this 501(c)3 organization. The Fun Fourth Festival has been presented annually since 1975 as a community celebration of Independence Day for Guilford County and the Piedmont Triad. The festival is held in the Cultural District of Downtown Greensboro and at Grimsley High School.

Scenic and shady courses follow gently rolling terrain through historic residential area and parks. Mid 70s or above at 8:00am. Temps rise quickly, moderate humidity. Printable 10K course map.

Safety information

In order to assure runner safety and to comply with insurance liability requirements, unregistered runners, strollers, baby joggers and pets are prohibited on the 10K course. Strollers and baby joggers are welcome on the 2-Mile course.
