The Annual Fun Fourth Festival is recognized as a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism society and an Outstanding Event by Celebration NC Foundation. The Fun Fourth Festival is produced by Grassroots Productions Limited. This local non-profit corporation focuses on charitable and educational activities which foster interest in local history and events in Guilford County. An advisory board of local business and civic leaders oversees the planning of each event for this 501(c)3 organization. The Fun Fourth Festival has been presented annually since 1975 as a community celebration of Independence Day for Guilford County and the Piedmont Triad. The festival is held in the Cultural District of Downtown Greensboro and at Grimsley High School.

Rides

2010 Rides: 24’ Rock Climbing Wall, Rat Race Obstacle Course, Jurassic Adventure, Trackless Train, Kidipiller Crawl Through, Giant 24’ Dual Slide, 9 Hole Putting Course, Carousel Moon Bounce, Mechanical Jitterbug Swing and Bungee Trampoline.

Games

2010 Carnival games: Hi Striker, Mini Hi Striker and the festival favorite, Balloon Darts.

Scrip

All rides and games will accept only scrip (tickets) for payment. No cash accepted. Scrip can be purchased at booths located throughout the Festival area. Amusements & Rides prices range from $2-$6.

Contest Zone

Come check out your knowledge of American Trivia, spin the WKZL-Rock92 Prize Wheel, Putting Game, Ball Toss, Name the States, Guess the Number of Beans, INS Citizenship Exam, Water Balloon Toss, Patriotic Scavenger Hunt, Stand on One Leg the Longest, see who can blow the biggest bubble, find out if you are a hula hoop hero and test your Chicken Dance skills. Fun and prizes!
